I never liked oat smoothies cause you always get a kind of raw oat taste but not this one guys! Honestly, this creamy apple oatmeal smoothie is really creamy and delicious! The ingredients blend soo well together and you almost can’t taste the oatmeal.

Apples – will add freshness and a little crunch to your smoothies. They are also low in calories and help reduce high cholesterol and maintain blood sugar levels.

Oatmeal – will provide you with extra vitamins and minerals such as fiber, protein, calcium, iron, magnesium and vitamin B6.

Banana – makes your smoothies very creamy and provides your with healthy carbs to keep you going until lunch. It’s also a good source of probiotics as well.

Chia Seeds – is high in fiber, iron, protein, magnesium, calcium and potassium. Adding it to your smoothies will help reduce stress, increase your energy levels, reduce hunger, reduce constipation, increase and maintain muscles especially if you work out.

Greek Yogurt – adds extra creaminess along with protein, calcium, and probiotics to this smoothie. protein is great for building and maintaining muscles, calcium protects your bones, and probiotics keeps your gut healthy.

Almond Milk – adds a nutty flavor and contains Vitamin D, E & calcium. It’s also lactose and diary-free making it a great choice for those with stomach issues like IBS.

Cinnamon – is one of my favorite spices, I just love the taste and smell it adds to smoothies. It also helps reduce appetite and cravings plus studies show that it can boost the metabolism and help with weight loss.

Ingredients for 1 serving | Total time: 5 minutes

  • 1 medium apple (peeled, cored, & diced)
  • 2 tablespoons of rolled oats
  • 1/2 a small banana (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt (non-fat)
  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk (fat-free)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds

Add all of the ingredients to the blender starting with the almond milk first so that it blends easily. Pulse twice to shake things up after adding the rest of the ingredients and blend for 2-3 minutes or until smooth and creamy.

Pour in your favorite glass, garnish with some oats, chia seeds, apples, banana, honey and enjoy!

You can also add in some peanut butter or protein powder to this smoothie for extra protein especially if you want to drink it before a workout or as a meal replacement shake.
